My diploma is worthless

Having not heard back from the library, where I was applying for a part-time shelving gig, in two weeks, I popped in again today to see if anyone could tell me anything. After a brief conference in the Librarians' Secret Chamber of Secrets, the woman at the help desk returned and informed me that the people being called back for interviews had all been e-mailed this week. Sorry.

So much for the value of my Yale diploma. I prefer to imagine that their rationale for not hiring me is that I'm overqualified. (Well, either that or they're reluctant to hire students for only one year. The alternative is horrid.)

Screw you, Edinburgh University Library. I'm signing up to be a mystery shopper instead. Ha!
